Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng), Sainsbury Management Fellows

Aim

The Sainsbury Management Fellowship (SMF) Scheme aims to help the country’s top engineers acquire the knowledge and skills that will take them into the boardroom of Britain’s blue chip companies or set up enterprises that will boost both local and national economies.

Background

The Sainsbury Mangement Fellows scholarship is highly respected within the world of engineering. The Scheme, which is administered by the Royal Academy of Engineering, selects up to 14 young engineers per year who have excellent academic qualifications and leadership potential. The chosen candidates are offered the opportunity to study for a Masters degree in Business Administration at one of the world's leading business schools. In 1993, the alumni of the Sainsbury Management Fellowship Scheme formed an association, The Sainsbury Management Fellows Society to promote networking among members and with the business community.
