COUNTRY DIRECTOR FOR KENYA

Gatsby Africa is recruiting a Country Director for Kenya. This new role will strengthen our credibility, capability and relationships in the country, and facilitate stronger connections and engagement between our programmes and partners, enabling more effective cross-learning. 

The Country Director will coordinate cross-cutting support to our programme in the Kenyan commercial forestry sector while also leading Gatsby’s engagement, support and oversight of our institutional partners Kenya Markets Trust and Msingi.  They will play a crucial role as part of our Senior Management Team, helping to inspire and motivate our teams, shape our culture, role model our values, and bring people together to deliver common goals and achieve our ambitious mission.

Gatsby Africa is recruiting a Country Director for Tanzania. This new role will strengthen our credibility, capability and relationships in the country, while empowering programme teams and enhancing our effectiveness.

The Country Director will coordinate cross-cutting support to our programmes in the cotton, textiles and commercial forestry sectors.  They will also play a crucial role as part of our Senior Management Team, helping to inspire and motivate our teams, shape our culture, role model our values, and bring people together to achieve our ambitious mission.

INDUSTRY DIRECTOR FOR TEXTILES & GARMENTS - MSINGI

Are you a high-performing senior leader with exemplary communications skills and a proven track record in industry/economic transformation?  Do you have the vision, drive, credibility, skills and energy to transform one of East Africa's most important industries?  Would you like to use your skills and experience to lead change that could benefit millions of East African citizens?

Our close partner organisation Msingi is seeking an Industry Director for its new East African Textiles & Garments Programme.  This is a new role in a start-up industry programme. The Director will lead strategy development, build a high calibre team, oversee implementation and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders.  

While specific experience and understanding of the textiles & garments sector would be a distinct advantage, it is not essential.

CONTRACTS MANAGER

Do you have substantial experience in developing and monitoring a variety of contractual arrangements in the private and not-for-profit sectors?  Could you mentor and help others to manage risk and develop contracts and collaboration arrangements that lead to strong and effective relationships with external partners?  Would you like to use your skills to contribute to change that could benefit millions of people in East Africa?

The scale and complexity of Gatsby Africa’s work has increased considerably in recent years.  As such, we are now looking for an outstanding individual to join our team in the new role of Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager will drive and coordinate continuous improvement in our contracting processes, bringing in-house legal expertise to bear on our capacity to manage contractual risks and legal compliance.
