DIRECTOR - KENYA COMMERCIAL FORESTRY PROGRAMME

Could you lead the start-up of an innovative long-term programme to transform a key sector in Kenya? Do you have strategic vision, a creative mind and proven leadership skills in complex sector development/M4P programmes, along with experience of commercial forestry or agribusiness?  

Gatsby is launching a commercial forestry sector development programme to help tackle Kenya's serious and worsening wood supply deficit, and we are recruiting for a Director to lead the programme.  The successful candidate will establish relationships throughout the sector, build the programme's senior management team, shape the programme's culture, define strategic direction and provide operational leadership.

PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP MANAGER - KENYA COMMERCIAL FORESTRY PROGRAMME

Are you a Kenyan Public-Private Partnership specialist who brings imagination and analytical skills to solve complex and ambiguous problems? Would you like to use your networks and relationship building skills to help address the wood supply shortage in Kenya?  

Gatsby is launching a commercial forestry sector development programme to help tackle Kenya's serious and worsening wood supply deficit, and the Public-Private Partnership Manager will be crucial to its success.  The successful candidate will forge and strengthen relationships with a wide range of public and private sector players and help to define and shape strategic direction by coordinating institutional and stakeholder links.

INVENTORY PLANNER - KENYA COMMERCIAL FORESTRY PROGRAMME

Are you a Kenyan forestry specialist with experience in resources assessment and management? Would you like to use your skills to play a key role advising Kenyan growers of all sizes on forest planning and management, helping to catalyse development of the sector?

We are recruiting an Inventory Planner for the Kenya Commercial Forestry Programme.  The successful candidate will advise and facilitate partners on all aspects of forest management planning; support partners to adopt and adapt Management Information Systems; and deliver training.

Are you a Kenyan analyst with strong skills in using financial and economic analysis to support new business opportunities? Would you like to apply your experience in the Kenyan forestry sector, helping businesses of all sizes exploit growing markets for wood products while developing inclusive business models?

Are you a Policy and Institutions specialist passionate about driving results in private sector development in Africa?  Do you understand business, public policy decision-making processes and the roles that sector-level institutions have to play and how they can be strengthened?  Would you like to support the transformation of Tanzania’s cotton industry, benefitting more than 350,000 farmers?

We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong policy and analysis skills to play a key role working with the Tanzania Cotton Board to ensure an effective policy environment, provide evidence to policy-makers, and build the capacity of critical sector institutions.
