In agricultural development, one of the toughest challenges is to find sustainable ways for rural smallholders to access quality farm inputs, services and advice. What can we learn from different efforts to ensure farmers have all they need to raise their yields and incomes?

At Gatsby Africa, we have been supporting two inputs market development programmes over the past 7 years in Kenya and Tanzania. We are also implementing sector programmes across East Africa in cotton, tea, livestock and aquaculture which, among other constraints, seek to address challenges associated with inputs markets.
