Following the publication of the Sainsbury Panel Report, we are working with two local areas to support implementation of the Technical Education reforms.

In 2016 the Sainsbury Panel Report made recommendations for reshaping of Technical Education in England. The Post-16 Skills Plan described the government’s commitment to implementing these reforms. Fifteen Technical Education routes will offer education and training pathways to skilled occupations across the labour market.  Gatsby is now working with Sheffield City Region and Greater Manchester Combined Authority to support further education in these areas to become ‘routes ready’ for the introduction of Technical Education reforms.

Sheffield City Region is recruiting for a Senior Programme Manager to take forward this work. Further information about Sheffield City Region is available here, and the job details are here (search for ‘Sheffield City Region’).
