Since publication of the government’s Post-16 Skills Plan, the Gatsby Foundation has been working with partners in several local areas to support providers’ preparations for implementation of T Levels, and the wider reforms for technical education, including new Higher Technical Qualifications.
As work in the local areas that Gatsby is supporting progresses, and as providers delivering the first T Levels from 2020 continue their preparations, we are observing a great deal of good practice.
We will therefore be capturing and sharing case studies and examples of useful approaches across a number of themes, including industry placements, staff development and progression pathways for learners. We will include perspectives from providers, employers, students and other stakeholders involved in planning for technical education.
The video below is an example from two 2020 T Level providers discussing some of the support available on national and local levels:
We are developing a dedicated site for these materials, and will soon announce its launch through our Technical Education Newsletter so do sign up if you would like to be kept updated.
